Job Description:

To support the NASA Seasonal-to-Interannual Prediction Project (NSIPP) at the Goddard Space flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. Duties include routine operations, backups, system upgrades, system security measures, and system problem resolution for three Digital SMP servers with RAID storage arrays, a high-end workstation, a high-end personal computer, peripherals, and X-terminals serving a group of approximately 20 scientists and programmers. The candidate shall act as senior level administrator for a variety of UNIX platforms (DEC, Sun, SGI, and Linux) to provide ongoing operating system support, new system implementation, and systems performance analysis.

Required Skills and Education:

• BS in Computer Science
• Two years related experience
